WORDS

   Words have power.
So much power.
They are able to hurt, kill, and despise.
They are able to encourage, build, and comfort.
They can create worlds, imaginary places, and things the human eye has never seen before.

  As a writer, you hold that power in your hands. You have the ability to change thoughts, decisions, entertain, and so much more.
That is scary to me. What am I doing with my power? Am I using it correctly?

YOU HAVE LOTS OF POWER.

   You didn't thing of that, did you? Sitting alone at a desk and computer with a cup of tea or coffee, thinking that you are unsocial. 
You might feel out-of-place with people in the real world, but you are ever so much more comfortable with people in worlds that are all your own.
Being a writer is and AMAZING hobby/occupation.  I love this quote:

"I don't read because I don't have a life, but because I choose to have many." - Unknown

This is the same thing with authors/writers.

A Burning Passion

 

  Okay, so I would like to start off by welcoming you to this blog, telling why I started it, and introducing myself a little bit.
First of all: WELCOME! Thanks for visiting! I hope you like what you see, and if not, a writer should always accept constructive criticism, so comment away if need be!
   Alright, why did I start this blog? Well, it originates from this little spark inside my heart called passion. I love to write. I love writing pretty much anything. But the one thing I just can't help but love more than every other thing is fiction! Any type of fiction. Fantasy, Medieval, political, action, sci-fi...well, I guess you get the point.
   Now, about myself...I'm not your average bandit. I don't steal and destroy things. I'm just pretty stingy with the things I create, such as stories. See, I have this unconventional fear of letting people read my stories, so that is also part of the reason why I'm making this blog. To get over my fear.
One other thing about me: I can be a little absent-minded. Well, if you want to truth, I'm a lotta-bit absent-minded. So if my posts aren't always perfectly timed, or I forget to do something I said. This is my apology. Please forgive me.
 

   What is going to happen on this blog? Well, lots of things. I think I'd better make a list:
1. Word of the day. I don't know when I will start this. But it'll be soon...hopefully.
2. Brain-stormers and mind prodders. You know, things to get your wheels turning.
3. Writing challenges and maybe eventually quizzes or contests!
4. Inspiration posts.
5. Tips or ideas.
6. I might even put one of my own short stories, or a novel excerpt.
   Also, please feel free to give me a link if you post one of your stories and I'll be glad to read it and tell you what I think!
